  2. When I had a daily newspaper I looked at the obituaries every single day. Not that I expected to see anyone I knew, but I liked to see how old they were, what they died of etc. Proper morbid. But I guess it was because I wasn't in there myself!

  3. Rumour has it that he also likes handmade shoes and Rolex watches! Well, he's only human and humans form attachments. That's why he has to keep coming back!

  4. I watched the Joanna Lumley India programmes on telly and the Bally Llama was on one of them. She gave him a drone for a present and he loved it. She said that he loves gadgets - not bad for a man who has given up all worldly possessions, eh?!

  5. I think I agree with that theory. On my first posting Jill found a family connection.. Living in a country with a huge migration history my maternal and paternal lines go back a long way in the UK. The more recent branches include Germany, Thailand and New Zealand! This is providing me with hours of time sitting at the computer, I probably should sit on an exercise machine while I do it!

  16. I would suggest RR that Lorne sausage is like all the rest .....depends who makes it as to what's in it if Iceland want to sell it cheap then more rusk is always an option. They do nice steaks though

  18. Thanks Compo I will ask SWMBO next time she is out to try and find some. I used to have it now again when walking/climbing in Scotland, but the last time would have been at a little place in Fort William some 15 years ago. I could eat well in those days and breakfast was two slices of toast each with a slice of what I now know is Lorne sausage on top followed by a fried egg on top of that, surrounded by bacon, mushrooms and baked beans, had to walk up the glen to the foot of the Ben to let it settle. Needless to say supper was the next time I had food that day.

  20. Went to "Theatre Royal" to see Million Dollar Quartet this was the story of Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Carl Perkins, it was brilliant, people were dancing in the aisle and the person who played Jerry Lee was just out of this world. This of course was also the story of how Rock n Roll started at Sun Studios, If it ever comes to Nottingham Theatre Royal again I would certainly go to see it, I would be first in the queue.
