  2. I think you are all being very rude and disrespectful to a woman who obviously knows there's more to a person than their outward appearance. She should NOT be an object to be judged. In fact, I think a person should never be judged by their body shape - that's that particular person's business, not our's

  7. I want one of those cars like they have on the TV ads. Driving up the mountain they go through streams, dirt roads and muddy tracks but when they get to the top of the mountain and the camera pulls back to see the view with the car in the shot it is absolutely spotless.

  8. I like to think that I'm pretty good at Letter Writing. I can make my case.. tell a story.. sympathise, converse with a friend..lover..or whatever. Trouble is.. very few people can read my writing. It's always been terrible. It's why the evil Mr Deakin forced me to practice writing in his study at primary school... because he knew I was a genius.. but people wouldn't know if I couldn't write legibly. I would dearly like to write letters in elegant script, and post them on pale blue paper.. But word processed and printed on off white or very pale blue paper is as clo

  9. Thanks Brew and Fly for the information. My back garden gets sun all day as it is south facing, so have moved her into my side room off the kitchen near the french windows to see if that helps. I am going to “bonsai” her so I wont end up with a full grown tree in there! She looks good there actually.

  10. Never in my life had a ponytail Dave, longest I had my hair was in the disco days when I worked at Boulby, mostly because I couldn't find the time to go to Redcar where the barbers shops were. These days I get the wife to give me a very close cut, what bit I have, can't stand it long, ie longer than one inch, I feel like Willie Nelson at that stage...LOL

  13. She does look extremely scruffy, even for working in the garden. She is presenting on television and it’s an insult to the viewers to appear like an unmade bed.

  14. I do carry a clean empty 1/2 gallon plastic milk bottle in my truck..... When I worked in the NSW coal industry, I was required to take a medical every couple of years as part of my employment obligations. I was on regular nights and went straight from work to the Lithgow NSW Joint Coalboard office were the Medical Officer was located. Before the end of my shift, to make sure I could give a urine sample, I'd drunk several pints of tea and water. I was bursting by the time I arrived and asked the Doc for a sample beaker, he said go behind the curtain, I said I'd rather go to the bog,

  17. FLY, I've not been feeling physically 100% for 3 - 4 weeks, so we had a relatively quiet day with the grandchildren.... did about an hour with a French workbook - lots of laughs and great fun, then explored some Maths concepts (our 8 year old is Maths crazy). We covered equations, new ways of doing long multiplication and division, and having races to see which of us was better at mental arithmetic (not always me!). After that, we played rummy, made paper planes from complicated patterns and then I nearly fell asleep on the sofa listening to his practising clarinet and piano pieces. Inters
