I gave an answer to the way most average Americans seem to think the other day so will not repeat them again. Neither am I about to dispute the emotive words used above. It does, however, lead me to ask. Do you have an intimate aquaintance with this man to so describe him, or are you merely repeating the words of the media who have hated him before he was even elected the first time? Trump is looking increasingly pathetic. I've seen more Statesmanlike performances from George Formby. If he had an ounce of integrity he would be telling his supporters to stop acting like some sort of private Militia and show some dignity in defeat. The concern now is how much damage he can do before he is dragged kicking and screaming from the White House.

Was that the cafe we used to cal "the one-up cafe"? On ordering pie, peas and chips, the bloke serving would shout "one up" to the women in the kitchen. The place would get packed out and I remember a chap shaking a sauce bottle and the top came off! I was that busy laughing at my mate's face getting plastered I didn't realise I'd caught most of it up my back!

I agree with you LL but both Col and I plus others on this site are at times guilty of hyperbole when expressing our opinions. I can't speak for Col but for myself it expresses a depth of feeling. I try to restrict myself and keep my language reasonable but I do sometimes think I go 'over the top'. It's good we have more sane people to pull us back into line...

I think one should have at the very least some kind of consultant qualification in psychiatry before one starts making diagnoses of mental illness and lunacy, to use a very outmoded term. To my limited knowledge, no one on this site possesses such. Even if they did, surely it would have been necessary to have met the patient?

Thank goodness we don't have many fireworks here. The only time we hear them is New Years Eve and a bit before. The local festivities during the summer usually end up with a firework display, announced by the church bells ringing 3 times. The displays are usually very good even for the smallest hamlet and always finish with a gap of a couple of minutes silence then 3 of the loudest bangs you've ever heard. Talk about earth shattering, you can actually feel the ground shaking. Result , everyone happy and no one injured. These are the enjoyment of fireworks the others should be banned.

Col, have you seen the fb video where he(a look alike) is having a tantrum on the floor of the White House and is being dragged out by a group of aides, screaming “”I don’t wanna go” over and over again?

Don't know why the penny didn't drop before.. The indoor socket powering this PC is still a single and I've been meaning to convert it to a double for ages. It's on the side wall, but about a foot or so from the rear wall of the house and drilling straight through would place the outdoor socket in the side path, but close to the back of the house. Pretty much ideal. That's another little job to add to the queue. I'll probably do it at the same time as I run an ethernet cable to almost the same place (inside), from my music server. Thanks for the inspiration!
