  1. West Bridgford UDC Bus at Trent Bridge - Fleet number 14 a 1937 AEC Regent 1 with a Park Royal body courtesy Dumfries Transport Group. LM&S Station on the destination blind, but the photo must be well after railway nationalisation. Late 1950s?

  3. The 500c with all the accessories would cost about the same as a decent bungalow. I don't know if they still hold the crown since digital technology virtually killed film cameras but they were the stuff of dreams when I was into photography.

  4. My hedgehog turned up early last night at 21.40. Shortly afterwards, there was a jingling sound and Smudge appeared. He's a regular visitor now. We watch Horace having his supper and then play for a while. I picked Smudge up and cuddled him. He's like a little butterball. Needs to go on a diet! When I went back into the house, my cats gave me the cold shoulder. How dare I cuddle a foreign cat?

  5. Because our 2 cats are getting a bit old, we’ve propped an old wooden ladder up against the wall in our garden so they can use that to commute along the top of the wall to go on their daily visits to other gardens .... they can get on the wall via some trees but the ladder is easier for them

  6. My claim to fame with Nottingham castle was that I had two paintings hanging in there as part of an exhibition of art from Coal board employees. Sometime in the eighties. Beekay.

  7. Found this on a Notts County forum today. Couldn’t resist posting it here because I found it so funny. I'm sure Forest fans could easily modify it for their own amusement. Here we go. A few years back before a Notts County- Nottingham Forest derby, Ian McParland goes into the Magpies changing room to find the team looking a bit glum. 'What’s up?” he asks. “Well, we’re having trouble getting motivated for this game. We know it’s important but it’s only Forest and we can’t be bothered, we always beat them”. Charlie looks at them and says, “I reckon I can beat

  12. It also depends how much and how often you use your phone. Mine is nearly 4 years old, and if it was a car it would be very low mileage. Some people spend hours a day looking at the internet on their phone, constantly tweeting and messaging and calling. I sometimes never use it at all from one day to the next. I don't have to always know everything that's happening; and I don't always want to take a photo of it.

  13. Yes they still are but way too expensive for my meagre means, they are actually Swedish. Their iconic 500C was legendary among pro photographers. I'll stick to my Nikon
