We have a flock of five at the at the moment and yes they do tend to eat virtually everything in sight, but they are a large bird and consequently eat more than a small one. I have hot glued bars on the feeders to limit their access and give others a chance to feed but they do seem resourceful buggers.
What I don't understand why they are considered vermin, if they were rare and endangered would we still consider them so? ALL birds carry parasites, all birds are health hazards, all birds are flying s**t machines yet we pick on pigeons...
