Take a market stall put a bit of tinsel round it and then its a Christmas Market, oh and up the price of everything HUMBUG

The above pics are part of our Christmas decorations this year. I went into the bar there for a coffee this morning and thought I’d bumped into one of them , I apologized to them then realised what they were (I knew there were there but thought it was someone standing behind me) Beside representing Christmas they are representing some of the cultures in this area. I feel sure my niece has done them, give her a bit of sacking , straw and string and she comes up with something unique.

It’s now official our village has been awarded “ one of the most beautiful villages in Italy” The award was given on Sunday complete with marching band and the famous Bandiere ( flag flyers). There’s a short video but it’s all in Italian and only showing a few things of interest. One thing I want to see is all the presepe in the top part of the village. ( presepe are the Nativity scenes) and there are some very interesting interpretations.

Jill, Owner of various stalls and amusements. If memory serves me correctly Mellors used winter some of their fairground rides below my uncles garage on Greasley Street Bulwell. ( this was late 60s). I've an idea he may be Chairman of the Showmans guild. Not sure on this.

No mate, we must be about eight feet higher than the top of the bank, these pictures were taken a couple of miles from home, problem is the environment agency refuse to clean out the river and it's tributaries because of upsetting the wildlife so the silt and debris block up the river and this is the result Rog

Why do vegetarians and vegans think they have a right to go into a resturant and expect to have a non-meat meal. I bet I wouldn't be able to have a steak if I went into a vegetarian/vegan resturant

One of the teachers at Carlton le Willows had one in the late 60s. He always made sure it was locked and visible from his classroom window to keep us little scrotes well away from it. Mind you, there still seem to be a lot of Mk1s around which have been given a Lotus paint job and badges, but not the Lotus mods and running gear, to enhance their value.
