Received an unexpected and warming email from an old friend. We were apprentices together at the ROF. We were keen cyclists, touring and racing together for years and I was his best man at his wedding. So, it was a really nice surprise and I'll be responding to it at length. The indoor rowing and cycling is going well. 11k row this morning and should do another thisafto. On schedule to row more than 10 miles a day during Jan.

Aha. I didn’t even know that the tram went to Clifton till we got in the wrong Lane and ended up there after our meet up in December!

Remember riding my Raleigh chopper bike with a tartan jacket with sheepskin lining , those were the days , my brother had a racing bike , I borrowed it to nip down the shop , and couldn't negate the corner from Grindon crescent, into Martin Avenue bulwell , I managed to buckle the front wheel and was sent flying over someone's garden fence , landing in a thorny rose bush , my brother was still paying for the racer on me sisters Littlewoods catologue!!!

1966......oh to be 21 again.....and singing in the sunshine.......even crying in the rain.......love to make all my mistakes again.... Wish i was still waiting for Sue to come round on the ''Bali-Hai'' dance floor..... Dance duck?... Maybe later... Come outside? What for?
