  1. Why the USA bashing Edwin, what have we ever done to you? All you know is what the media tells you and everyone knows the media is one sided.
  2. What about US forces in Iraq Elaine? I was speaking of my own personality traits, "I" personally could not bring myself to expect any kind of special treatment while visiting or living in a different country other than my own. And as far as the military goes, a very good friend of mine just came back from a year in Afghanistan, upon arrival there, they are all informed of things they can and cannot do, things they can and cannot say, etc. in respect for their hosting country's culture. I can't speak for those that don't adhere to the rules other than to say that it's wrong, whether they ar
  3. Blacks are not treated equally, I know you are right about that. It is disgraceful to see that some people are still so closed minded and thoughtless to treat someone disrespectfully for their nationality or color. I for one don't judge people that way, I happen to have a very good friend named Marvin who is black, to me he is no different than any of my other friends. (Yes everyone, Dan knows him too, keep your minds out of the gutter!!) But I still believe even if that girl was born in the UK, she is a UK citizen and needs to follow UK rules! I could never go live in another country and exp
  4. What do you think would happen if she moved away from that tree?!!! She looks like she could use a counter-weight!!!
  5. Here I am!! Rich people? Remember Den, "rich" is a relative term. We are poorer than those who live in mansions, but richer than those who live in shacks! We are just good at saving money to enjoy on vacations. Put a little away each week and you'll have enough in no time!! And as far as Dan doing something he could do time for...did you hear about the man who went overboard "mysteriously" off the coast of Turkey? His wife was drunk passed out in a hallway on the other side of the ship at the presumed time that it happened. She had to be wheeled back to her cabin by personell and they put her
  6. That was great, thanks for posting that Mick! I remember doing a lot of that, including the Cotton-eyed Joe, though I don't remember that high leg kicking!!
  7. I'm with Robin on this one. If you choose to live in a country other than your native one, you should follow the customs and rules of that country along with speaking the language of that country. You should not expect special treatment.
  8. We still haven't heard your excuse for not coming to mine in July Robin!!! Well....?
  9. I don't know Mick...that one sounds legit to me...
  10. 11. Hammer and sickle 15. Corn Huskers? 25. The Big Apple 36. Georgia Peach 46. Cornell? 48. The Big Dipper
  11. Looks like a Buick or Oldsmobile to me. Actually Baz, Infiniti is the make, the model is M35. I believe Infiniti is the luxury make owned by Nissan.
  12. Actually, in that photo, it is sort of white...Ivory Pearl to be exact, but I agree it does look to be silver. It's an Infiniti M35. Have you heard of it? I don't know if you have them in Australia, Dennis said they don't have them in England.
  13. 3.5-liter V6 engine with 275 hp 5-spoke, 19 x 8.5-inch aluminum-alloy wheels Rear Active Steer Sport-tuned suspension High Intensity Discharge (HID) xenon low-beam headlights with automatic leveling Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) Sport-bolstered and -trimmed front seats Climate-controlled front seats with internal ventilation providing both cooling and heating functions Sport steering wheel Rosewood trim Aluminum pedal accents Is that a better description??? I was trying not to brag to much, and being true to my sex by describing it only by color,
  14. If women ruled the world? We do love, we just let you guys think you're in charge... Speaking of cars, I got a new one, it's a little white one and I don't even have to take my keys out of my purse to start it, which means less chance of locking my keys in the car! B)
  15. Has anyone started their Christmas shopping yet? I usually start in August and do a little at a time so it doesn't hit the bank account as hard as doing it all at once. I'm usually done by the end of November. Dan on the other hand usually waits till the week before X-mas, since I'm the one who buys for all of the family members, and he only buys for me, I guess there's no need to start early.
  16. Hello Gert! Congratulations!! Looks like you'll be busy knitting this year! Do you know yet when the babies are due?
  17. Good God Rob!! Have you two not yet figured out what's been causing it? Dan and I figured it out and put a stop to it altogether!!! (Well, now that's not entirely true!!) Well I guess congratulations are in order!! Just think of it this way, when you get old and helpless and can no longer live without assistance, you will have a good selection of who to move in with!!! How far along is she, and do you know the sex yet...let me rephrase that...do you know the gender yet?? Oh, and Dennis...watch it buddy!!! It's a good thing for you Caz can't see that sexist comment, you'd get a lashing from
  18. There has been no ball polishing of any kind (unfortunately!!) I'm here Dennis, I've just been very busy between talking to a travel agent, and trying to do my own booking online for our next trip across the pond. Will be in England March 29-April 2 then flying to Scotland for my sisters wedding. We'll have to plan the Third Annual Nottstalgia Meet-Up for then, let's hope we show up on time for this one!!! We'll be staying at the Travelodge in Alfreton (the cheapest place I could find), hopefully it's not in a dodgy area. It's right where the A61 and A38 meet, does anyone know what that area
  19. I didn't take it with me...the heat disappeared from here also. I'm wearing long trousers and a jumper today, and this is usually the hottest month of the year!! What that tells me is that I should have stayed in England!!!
  20. Good thing, if mine were reduced, I'd look like a pre-pubescent boy!!!
  21. Hold your horses Mick, there's over 100 photos and due to computer problems, I'm having to download them one by one. I'll send you the e-mail invitation to view them when I'm done. The one I posted on the forum was one of the first ones I downloaded (luckily Yahoo Photo reduces the size, so I didn't have to send it to you to reduce it for me!!)
  22. Thanks for that Mick, now everyone will be inspecting my boobs!!!
  23. They were quite the English gentlemen! They even stuck around and continued on to Newark with us. We had a nice outing together. The trip was finished way too quickly though. We must stay longer next time as we spent most of our time driving!! We stayed 4 nights near Ashbourne Derbys., and took daytrips from there to Matlock to the Heights of Abraham, then to Borrowash to visit Grandpa, the next day we went back to Borrowash to take Grandpa and his girlfriend to lunch and afterwards drove to Bakewell to Chatsworth House, the next day (my sons birthday) we went to Warwick Castle (that was pro
