  1. Think you'd have to go on one of them illegal file sharing sites and download the entire Cliff Richard collection over a period of weeks before you'd exhaust your bandwidth allocation Not much chance of that then! I'm with NTL and they are having to compete heavily with BT who are offering good value for money too. Think the customer can only win here
  2. My mum and dad used to give me two strange medical preparations , neither of which are availablr nowadays. The first was Cod LIver Oil and Malt which came in a big brown jar and had a malty flavour. It had a consistency rather like the compound to make home made beer. Tasted quite nice. The other was some sort of salad cream-looking stuff which I seem to remember was called something emulsion, can't remember exactly what. Tasted gross.
  3. My first time was in a beautiful green meadow on a lovely summer evening. The sky was blue and the birds were singing. What could have been more romantic? Things got really passionate so I won't go into details. As I looked around I saw that her mother had come into the field looking for her daughter who was quite young at the time. I'l never forget what her mum shouted at me,........ Baaaaaaaaaah......Baaaaaaaaaah !!!
  4. The undertaker came home from work one evening and his wife noticed that his eyes were filling up with tears. "What's up dear? Have you had a bad day?" The undertaker gripped his concerned wife's hand, stared her in the eyes and said,"........... I see dead people :D
  5. Well, as you're offering, Caz. I'll have a giant Gin-and-Tonic (without the tonic) please.
  6. So true! You are only as old as you feel..... ....woke up this morning feeling like an eighteen-year-old...... .....but not managed to find one yet!
  7. That's right, Caz! Since November I've taken it back to the dealer for 4 different faults. The car is cr*p and MG Rover doesn't deserve saving!
  8. Can you remember all the jokes about people buying betamax video recorders in the 70s believing them to be better than VHS? Well, I bought a brand new car in November, believing it to be good quality, having a 3 year warranty and a manufacturer who would stick around to honour that warranty. Guess what make it is !
  9. Ilko, What camera is it?.....when you say digicam, do you mean a stills digital camera or a digital camcorder? You should at least have been supplied with a USB lead which plugs in the USB hole of your PC after you have installed the software that will have come on the CD in the box. That's certainly the case with the Kodak camera I got last year. Also a really easy way to transfer pix from the camera is to insert the memory card from it into a card reader on your pc if it's fitted with one.
  10. Shame about all those jobs being lost at the soap factory Looks like the management are washing their hands of the whole situation
  11. The old Police box is still around ans is being renovated ready to be put in the grounds of the Police Headquarters at Sherwood Lodge. I've done a page on it on Nottscops. Click below. Nottscops
  12. Somebody once said, (might have been Oscar Wilde) that Foxhunting is the "unspeakable in pursuit of the un-eatable" Bit like crowds rushing to McDonalds!
  13. Think I'll go and make a few backups of nottscops and hide them in various places like squirrels hide their nuts for safekeeping! Good to see it all up and running again, Mick. Frightening when you think everything might have been lost.
  14. Have you ever noticed that really old people never say what their age is now - always what they will be next year next year. "So how old are you, my dear?" "Oh, I'll be 93 next year!" "Right, so you're 92 then?" "No, I told you. I'll be 93 next year" :D
