Well, MY pics aren't x rated but flickr does contain an awful lot that are. So if your ISP is one that does block sites with adult material I'm not surprised its blocked flickr. Another thing to bear in mind is that some 'parental controls' software block it as well. I had a number of happy hours tearing my skin off unsuccessfully trying to access my flickr page once before I realised I'd accidentally turned the parental controls on.

I think it was originally a workhouse which later became a school. See about halfway down this page in the list of Nottingham Unions. There's further mentions and more useful links later in the chapter.
