  2. yeah! i left cotto back in 1972 ages 15 i think, never been back since then , may just go to the reunion to have a last look before it goes for good, are you going?.

  5. Great map and aspley terrace was blocked off at alfreton road end, they built three houses across, the back route is still there its called aspley place off bentick rd, i lived in one of thows houses which was next door to an old doctors house that stood vacant for many years .
  6. i lived on alfreton road near the junction of hartley road facing a big shop before it got demolished, i seemed to see Henry Titerles what it sold i dont know ? then to the right of that was osbornes news agents , anyone remember these , there was another shop on the corner ,what that was and sold can anyone enlighten me . kev

  8. Hi, im looking for any information about raleigh social club , i.e , where it was located, any images ect, im not sure if it was on old coach road , wollaton , there was a buliding connected with raleigh down there i think not sure, can anyone shed any more light on this matter , thanks, kev
  9. I WAS BORN IN CHAPLE SQUARE IN 1956 FACING RADFORD BATHS, THEN MOVED TO ALFRETON NUMBER 228 JUST A FEW DOORS UP FROM THE ALMA PUB THAT SAME YEAR ,TILL I MOVED IN 1981 SO I HAD A GREAT 26 YEARS IN RADFORD WITH SOME GREAT MEMORIES TOO. !cheers!

  12. HI I WENT TO COTTESMORE TOO I LEFT IN 72 WENT TO WORK AT RALLEIGH , JUST OVER THE ROAD . I WAS IN MR SCOTTS CLASS , HE WAS MY FORM TEACHER , WE HAD LOTS OF FUN WITH MR SCOTT TELLING US OF ALL HIS EXPLOITS OF CLIMBING MOUNTAINS ,BETTER THAN A GEOGRAPHY LESSON, I DO RECALL MR HEATHCOTE TOO AS HEADMASTER, ALSO MR HINDLEY HE USED TO TAKE US FOR RUGBY ......BUT DIDNT LIKE HIM AT ALL, LIKED HIS WHISKEY IN THE CUPARD BEHIND HIS DESK .
