About Me

Hi all, after leaving Trent Bridge to train as a Chef I decided that it was too much like hard work after three months and gave it up. I then worked at Burton tailors for a little while and John Wedgwood from our class also worked there. I then moved to Dixon’s, as I had an interest in photography, and worked there for three years. I decided that I was getting nowhere and on advice from one of my brothers got a job in an office working as an export clerk at Richard Simon & Sons in Basford sending engineering parts all over the world. I then moved to another company after a couple of years again as an export clerk. A friend of my brothers said I should get a job in computing, so I started as a trainee computer operator at Thorn Lighting in Leicester and worked my way up. I am now working for United House in Swanley, Kent. My career in computing has taken me to many places, stone quarries, engineering works and investment banking in the City of London and Brussels.

When I was 26 I passed my motorcycle test and have been riding motorcycles since. I currently have a Honda NC700X as in my profile picture. I have met many friends through my motorcycling over the years.

In 1996 I started training as a McTimoney Chiropractic and gained a H.E. Dip. In Human Chiropractic in 2000. I was unable to build up a large enough practice to give up my computing work, but still see a few people.

In my early twenties I finally realised that I was gay. I lived with my first partner for twenty years and finally split up. I have been living with my new partner Paul since 2000. Although that split with my first partner was painful, and expensive, I’m now very happy and living in Chatham, Kent. Am I the only gay in Trent Bridge School?
