  1. Check Facebook - looks like he got married a couple of years ago and became father of twins of last year. Scroll down the pages to find a pic of him in the 60's.
  2. Talking about the Brief in Skeggy - my mate in Skeggy was Graham Bonnett who became the lead singer in Rainbow. He was a butcher in Dewhursts and we used to have a right laugh going out and about it Skeg and my claim to fame is that I found a tenner on the floor in the toilets near to Hildreds Hotel and gave it to him to hire a van to take his band to Notts (a tenner in the 60's was worth loads) and off we went to the Dungeon. No he did not give it back to me after he made loads but whatever - I don't need it either.
  3. Gave up Corrie tonight to watch BBC2 Motown Tour - who watched it? I play the music but looking at it brought it all back. In Spain at the moment so don't have all the "records" here but went and had a look at what we have got. Not too bad a collection here - listening to Sherry Baby FV and the 4 seasons at the moment. Found these in the cupboard. My favourite - Hipsters, Flipsters, Finger-Poppin Daddies by Geno Washington and the Ram Jam Band K-tel presents - Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons Tamla Motown - British Motown Chartbusters Coral - Buddy Hollys Greatest Hits Atlantic - The G
  4. Was with my sister in law when the raid happened and she was so worried her mother would find out she had been invloved in a police raid - even though she was married at the time!! In those days I don't think I had ever been in a taxi.
  5. Def no booze in Dungeon or Mojo. We used to go in Yates offy and buy VP wine to take up to Sheffield with us if we were going to all nighter from the Dungeon. We all had rounded "weekend cases" we used to put it in and if Terry Flynne used to see them he took them off us. Remember being on the bus on Stamford street - women had to go upstairs and be searched by a policewoman. = di we ever get our money refunded?
  6. I used to get them for my allowance and as my FIL did not smoke I used to his aswell. If I remember correctly men used to get more than women.
  7. I was a factory clerk in pipe tobacco in No 1 and when we had nothing to do used to go down Churchfield lane to returns to do some messing about down there or downstairs into packing. Because I could type I used to do lots of odds and sods in the pipe factory office. Then I worked on Quality Control in 2 and 3 for a couple of years. I really ought to fill in the box at the side - femail!!!
  8. I remember when I worked at Players in mid 60's there was a corridor with lots of employees photos on the wall and my father in law telling me when he had done his 40 years I would have to look at him every time I went down there. Rogues Gallery is what he called it - I worked in every factory including "returns" so can't remember where it was.

  10. Re Chris - he was an avid Forest supporter and that song was dedicated to Des Walker. Just watched a YouTube of Please Don't Go.
  11. Friday night at the Test Match, West Bridgford - Dawn Trader - brillliant band - just been watching their UTube with Bernie Marsden at Rock City.
  12. The late Terry Flynne who worked on the door at the Dungeon was a really nice bloke away from there. I worked at Intercon when it opened in the 70's - later to be Tiffanys (under Vic Centre) and Gerry Gibson, head door man was only about 5"7 but what a tough guy he was.
