  9. Hi Alison. I can not access the forum at all sometimes. At other times I might be on the forum but it just freezes me out. The last time was 13th September and I could not sign out but I noticed when I got back access today that I was actually signed out. Gremlins ???? :-) Baz
  10. Well,I got back in to the forum today after being locked out AGAIN from the 13th of this month. Mick, after much investigation and searching my troubleshooter came back with the same result as last time. There is a fault with the server of Nottstalgia. I know you said all was ok that end but a bit more investigation would be appreciated. I remember a short time ago when I was on another forum with the same format that we had a similar problem. This was fixed when the forum changed to a different server. Baz

  17. I've had more problems than the British and Irish rugby team. This is the first day for about a week that I have been able to get on board.Have the signals to Aus. been blocked by the meanies from England ? Just jokin about the meanies but it's not easy when a person cant sign in. Baz
  18. I remember Mundine snr. very well. What a boxer that man was and no shouting about racism at any time from him. Baz
  19. My apologies Trev.Jeff Harding is Australian,I was thinking of another boxer who was born in Liverpool and now resides in Sydney. Further for M2Ms edification.Tony Mundine is also an"Abbo" ex Australian champion boxer. His son Anthony is still a boxer.I use that term loosely because most of the boxers he has fought and beaten were over the hill hacks or not up to a professional standard. He also calls himself an Aboriginal but he is only a half chat because his mother is white. He has also converted to the Islamic faith. The mind boggles. Baz
  20. Lionel Rose was an "Abbo" boxer. Sorry Trev but Jeff Harding was a scouser. You might as well give it up with porkbelly .I don't think he can grasp the fact that any body other than a er British person can do any good. Baz
  21. For our less informed members. Semi or Semi trailer = Articulated vehicle. Big bugger with a roo bar on the front. Baz
  22. What about the siren at Plessey(Erricson)in Beeston. When that went off I think it shook the whole of Nottingham. Baz
  23. Compo, The Horse and Groom was at the bottom of St.Peters gate just where it meets Hounds gate. There is a big black gate next to the Halifax building society. That gate use to be the entrance to the courtyard leading in to the Horse and Groom.Upstairs was a restaurant belonging to the pub called The Courtyard restaurant. The landlords name was Stan Roper at the time I worked there which was about 1966 or 67. Good pub but the ale not so good.Shippo's. Baz
