I find the ammount of jealousy directed at Australians to be annoying.
Just because somebody was knocked back for migrating to Aus.or,was too late in life applying doesn't give them the right to bitch about how superior we are.
Innit.

More of your "escapades" in Taiwan would be great carltonlad.
I'm just so surprised that you didn't get and operate a hot dog cart. There must be "special "customers there too.

Nobody has mentioned sine and cosine.Invaluable if you have to work out values of triangulation.

My dad wanted to call me Alice Maud, mam said not bloody likely. I would have stuck out like a sore thumb at school in the 50's, but Alice is quite nice nowadays.
Preferably pronounced the French way.

My mums name was Sissie.
Folk often thought it was short for Cecelia but it wasn't.That was the actual spelling.
I've never come across that name since then.

I think Trev might be on his jollies and Beefburger is banished.
I pose a question and hope one of you can answer.
The barmy army, ardent supporters of the SA/GB/NZ cricket team have been down here in Aus for quite some time.
My question is....Do they all work for a living and if so how do they get so much time off ?
If they are all on the dole, are they able to sign on and get paid the said dole while they are here drinking all our lager ?(which,I am told they don't like)

When I worked in the Horse and Groom back in 1966 or 67.Stan,the boss asked me if I could work the lunchtime shift Christmas day.
I did and he sent me home in a cab with double wages,a massive turkey and a belly full of grog.
Great bloke was Stan.

Send them a bunch of Jocks with bagpipes - if that doesn't wind them up, nowt will!
Now that's a thought compo.
I might take my own bagpipes to the test match.
That'll shut the bugger up

Stokes played very well for a KIWI
So now it's a SA/England/NZ team. The mind boggles.Where will they get players from next ?
We have a Pakistani that they can have.
I will be at the test match in Sydney providing my son gets me a ticket.
If I'm anywhere near the prat who plays the trumpet in the barmy army you might catch a glimpse of me on the telly.I'll be the one shoving that trumpet up his backside.

It wasn't going too bad for the SA/England/NZ cricket team. Then they dropped the ball and the arse fell out of their game.
