  1. Thanks for the welcome! Having a second Arts Market at Sneinton on June 27th - the last one had a lot of traders and many, many more punters than usual. It did rain though which is always a problem! Trouble was, a few regular traders didn't turn up due to the poor weather forecast. This was disappointing as we had done loads of advertising. Sneinton is being run by Sneinton Community Traders now, and we are trying to make a go of it. Costs are high, as Poohbear says, shoppers are lazy, but as I was told recently, a lot of people don't know that Sneinton Market is still there! I for one want
  2. Pat, Carol, did I know you I wonder?? She was called Beattie yes. We used to sit looking out of the big top window at the cinema across Market Street (what was it called? showed late night horror movies). Sometimes about 40 people round one table - I think the staff were extremely reasonable considering! The downstairs one on King Street was where Zizzi's is - explains the very large subterranean type layout. The decor was very early 60's, all brown with ceramic decorative tiles.
