  1. I would say that an upside down plate violates section 2 Frank....." easy to read ".
  2. Loppylugs....Funnily enough he was 5 on Sunday. 3 more years of working him and then i'll give him an easy life. I've got no intention of getting rid of him but i will get another dog who will learn from him while he's still working. Now that will make the better half happy.
  3. I went beating as a favour for a friend on monday. All day and all they got were 9 pheasants and 1 woodpigeon. i was supposed to be picking up for the guns but a lack of beaters and shortage of dogs put paid to that. I don't know who was happier to be back home, me or my black lab' i've never seen him look so shattered and he's a big dog not your normal skinny ones but a Drakes head lab'. Needless to say i have been asked if i'll go on the next shoot with them and like the pillock that i am i've said yes.
  4. This week i have been mostly reading the Beano and gas meters
  5. My 15 year old son works at the local post office/mini market for 2 and 1/2 hours a day 5 days a week, for this he gets £40 pound a week. Not a bad amount for someone his age, all his mates are jealous to death of him. On top of that the owners who are Sikh's think the world of him and treat him like a son and are taking him to America with them and their son next year..all expenses paid bless em. For xmas they brought him a pair of trainers for £85 as well as giving him a cash bonus. Tonight he walked in the door with 9 packets of bacon that had today's sell by date on, bet you can't guess wh
  6. While we are on the subject of fast food in the last 2 weeks i've had at least 11 diff' fast food menue's pushed through the letterbox. I don't use them either for 2 main reasons...... (1) i don't rate the hygiene standards....(2) Most of them are run by Muslims and i don't agree with the Halal method of killing animals and refuse to eat the meat.
  7. I care Firbeck. Point blank refuse to take the kids there but the places never seem to be short of customers. I think its often a case of people being ruled by their bellies and not their common sense.
  8. You are right firbeck, i stand corrected !cheers!
  9. After reading Poohbear's and Denshaw's last posts i am sure that i was right and it is where the old school is at the back of the Ice Stadium, hence the name....Plumtree Place. Incidentally is'nt there a plot of land at the front of the school thats a mass graveyard for victims of the Great Plague/Cholera?
  10. 13,998 tickets gone to people with no interest in the display at all, thats disgusting
  11. looks like the large building to the right of St Mary's could be Plumtree Place where the old boy/girl's school was, i'm pretty sure that there was some kind of mansion built there at one time but i'm happy to be proven wrong.
  12. hello Pollie, it was outside radio trent that fat Fred set up his decks, nice guy but could get a bit in yer face. For the life of me i can't remember where he used to dj. Btw do you remember John Pownall who used to dj at the Yorker, the Imperial and the boat club at various times?
  13. Bazzer, look at the bottom of the page and check where it say's IP board, make sure it is not on IP board lo fi. you need to be on I P board only. The very same thing happened to me this morning.
  14. There is one members input i would like to see on this subject................Craig where are you?
  15. I've just heard that Gary Glitter as put in a record bid for Michael Jacksons computer. !laughing!
  16. Sorry to say this Beefy but at least a few kids will be able to sleep in peace now, but also lets remember that 3 children have lost their Father.
  17. You've jogged my memory on this Firbeck. I've never seen a bus use the one in Leeds, infact it looks like a 2 mile long train undercarriage inspection pit. The last time i was in Cambridge they had progressed to just past the new buildings on the Uni'/college site. I'm of the same mind as you on this, a complete and utter waste of time, effort and above all else money. I can remember thinking at the time when i saw it " Surely thats not the same thing as they've built in Leeds " don't these people ever learn?
  18. So then Poohbear, if you won all that money wouldn't you be in the same position as Royalty and Maggie Thatcher ? Maybe people would start calling you and damaging your property out of nothing more than jealousy.
  19. Thanks for that link Bamber, i've just spent the best part of 7 hours reading it and following the path with google earth. Even the better half saunted over to the computer to see what i was so engrossed in. !clapping!
  20. Just bring up the menu screen on your VCR via the remote contol. Follow the instructions on screen till you get to the record programs part. There should be an option on there to zero it. Be careful though because some VCR's have a button that increases the time in 15 min' increments so you will end up back at square one. The other option which might be easier is to just put a tape in, press record and let the timer count itself down. Best to do this last thing at night before you go to bed.
  21. It was Butterley Firbeck, she did 4 runs in total. I think you are right on the post maintenance run because as far as i am aware she has just had a boiler overhaul. I might pop over in a bit and have a look.
  22. it looks like the Duchess of Sutherland is ready for an outing as well. She's just gone past my front garden at 6:02 p.m. and i must say she is looking splendid. Got to go i can hear her coming back.
  23. Its the iron dragon work of art at the beginning of sneinton dale, and imo what a fine piece of work it is as well
