  1. Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of any information about a street in the 1950 where my Father was born and if it was known to of been a house or some kind of Hospital. The street was Glencairn Drive, Notts (number 5) or could anyone help as to how i can find this information. Thank you.

  4. I don't live in Nottingham, so don't know the history, but wondered if anyone knew anything of a pub known as The Robin Hood and if it still stood as rumour has it that my Grandfather worked their as a chef or waiter back in the late 40's and early 50's, He was said to of been greek-cypriot.

She lived on Shepton Crescent at number 19 while her father lived some door up at number 1, known as Walter Frearson, her mother was Annie who eventually moved to wales to be with her son. I am looking to find some information about a man who might of worked in The Robin Hood as a waiter/chef in the 1950's and was of Greek/Cypriot. Hi to all, I have been trying to find any info on my granmother who lived in Notts abt 1950, She tried every angle to cover something from the past although i have little info i was hoping there might be someone who can confirm any of these. She lived with her grandfather on shepton crescent while her father lived about 10 houses away at number 1.
