Hello Margaret, it’s a refreshing change to have a woman on the site, I find women more tolerant than men and not so quick to make judgements on others especially if they have never met. So Margaret what exactly attracted you to this site? For me it was the friendly atmosphere created by the banter between members similar to what I’m having with two of them at the moment and the companionship one feels while sitting all alone behind a computer screen with ones ankle giving one jip, those moments are memorable to be treasured to the end of ones days I reckon. 36.

Thanks for the many anxious posts but spent Friday evening in the QMC accident and emergency department with a broken ankle. Slipped off from the bottom two runs of the railway bridge at Beeston station. Had been in the New Venture club warming up for a good drinking session and looking forward to meeting you all when I slipped and fell, some cuts to face and hands and apart from broken ankle I’m feeling just great….cheers Once again thanks for your concerns especially those from Limey, your comment was most warming, hoping to meet you all at the next meet especially you Limey. 36.

The Lockstone in Long Eaton is very similar to a Weatherspoons inasmuch offering cheap beer and food even the lay out inside is reminiscent of the aforementioned. I often call in there for a bite to eat while shopping in Long Eaton on a Saturday now that the Littentree has closed its doors. 36.

I saw that while eating a bowl of salted porridge it was brill… So you haven’t gone then Pete? Weatherspoons are opening forty more chains in places where a Big Mac breakfasts can’t be found. As regards to a full English washed down with a GK special they also sell Coffee & Tea if one so desires…. 36.

I thought that suggestion was rather insensitive considering how we all know how strongly Pete feels about green king, and to make him the head caretaker too! well it beggars belief. It would be like asking me to be a Sheffield Steeler supporter for a year or two…..I vomit at the thought. 36.
