This is from around 1910. Talbot Yard is at the top, and you can see a number of convoluted alleys and passages going down towards Long Row. Maybe there was a way through. The PH at the bottom is The Talbot (later Yates's).

Having looked at Money Supermarket, they had nothing which was better than my Saga quote. Their best was around £40 more. I tried Santander - as mentioned earlier - and they beat my Saga quote by £20, which is ok but not worth the hassle.

I'm currently with Saga and their increase is around 20%. I'll dig around for a few quotes, but I may stay with them.

Yes, that is the old General Hospital in the photos. Harts restaurant was part of the old hospital, and Harts Hotel is a new build nearby.
