  1. My youngest daughter once ran her own business in laser tattoo removal. She was never short of customers as they realised the stupidity of their actions. It also amazes me how the majority of tattooed women are on benefits. They must keep winning on all the scratch cards they buy !
  2. Oh God no ! She's does absolutely NOTHING whatsoever for me ! She's the ultimate antithesis of my desires !
  3. I watched it too, and wondered where it was. I often think that folk just want a quick makeover, then just leave it to deteriorate. Never mind, I often enjoy the programme, and always aspire to achieve their results.
  4. Well I'm going out of this world as I came into it. No tats, no piercings, no hair, no teeth, no money !
  5. Belated birthday wishes Lizzie. I hope you were spoiled rotten, and had a fantastic day.
  6. Col, not everyone listens to Farage, and I'm quite capable of making my own mind up. As I've said frequently, I voted remain, as I was / am intelligent enough to foresee many obstacles. Now, I just want out. If that makes me a xenophobic Little Englander, then so be it.
  7. Birchenall also played for Leicester City. A great character, and very skilful
  8. Ah, come to think of it, I reckon I've seen them in Tesco's.
  9. Not seen any for a good few years, but I know that my cash goes either down the tubes, or up into thin air !
  10. Welcome Bigs. Some great topics on here, and no doubt many memories will be recalled. Happy browsing.
  11. NO, it was NOT about keeping out EU foreigners. We want the oppressive shackles of the Franco Germanic alliance removed. I too voted remain, purely because I foresaw the complexities , but now, I just want OUT ASAP.
  12. Dr Peake was at FFGS prior to BGS. He was a totally humourless sod, with the personality of a used paintbrush !
  13. You should have been at FFGS Ian. Equally horrific !
  14. Lizzie, I don't know if you listened to the entire Top 100 Motown songs, but I can imagine some of the less popular ones being dire, but also some very interesting ones. I like Rock and Blues, but for every Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, AC / DC, Whitesnake, G & R etc, there's some appallingly awful bands like Kiss and Motley Crue etc. Likewise in the early 60's, there were many good bands from Liverpool / Manchester, such as The Beatles, Searchers, Hollies, Big 3, but then there's the other side of the coin with joke 'bands' such as Hermans Hermits, Gerry & The Pacemakers
  15. It's on utube Martyn. Stupendous !
  16. The Rothera family have been in the legal profession since the mid 19th century. Look up 'History of Rothera Sharp, Solicitors'. Fascinating stuff.
  17. I see the remain fraternity are now squealing 'Democracy'. Well they certainly didn't want to acknowledge it till today !
  18. I'll look out for them if ever I'm in the area for a weekend. Can't beat a pub with a group !
  19. Being a rock fan, I prefer Jeff Beck's version. A great song though.
  20. Martyn, do you recall Wilson Pickett doing Hey Jude ? I think that was at Fame Studios, with the awesome guitar work of the late great Duane Allman. Brilliant, and on utube, but not live I'm afraid.
  21. Reds 3, Direby 0...... Long may it continue !
  22. Exactly Ben. The Premiership players have a lot to answer for. Greed and avarice prevail I'm afraid.
  23. Sad to say that two of the leagues oldest clubs look doomed this evening, as takeover talks fail, and both plunge into insolvency. Bury FC, and Bolton Wanderers fans have my deepest sympathy. I've been to both clubs many times, and the loyal fans don't deserve this. A sad day indeed.
