  4. Hi Guys, I joined here a while ago just to correct something and reply to a question regards to Johnny Larvin. My names Ash, I am 21 years old. I am a Huggett by name yet a Larvin by Family history as my Father was raised by his Aunt & Uncle who were Larvins upon his mother passing. Just thought id pop up on here to have a look at some of the history properly, also if anyone has any questions regards to old Nightclubs, Security, Markets, Fairground and Barrow Boys. Ill ask my Dad Btw we still work Markets and I was myself still working Goose Fair but due to my Dads ill health we've
  5. Hi Lyna, Johnny Larvin is my fathers Uncle. There is still some Larvin's around, were not technically Larvins as Flo Larvin is my Dads Aunty and took care of him and his brothers and sisters when his mother died. I know a little about that side of the Family but ill speak to my Dad, I think Herbert Larvin who's my Dads uncle (but more like a father as he raised him) is Johnny's brother. Ill speak to him If you like email me : ==========
  6. Hi Mick2Me sorry I only logged in once when I was looking for family history that I wasnt already aware of, sadly myself I am only 20 years old so I dont, but I do have some of the Family photo albums from the Larvin side, ill dig them out as my Dad has them and ill post them about
  7. Yep Johnny Larvin, Johnny Carrington or Johnny Carro was all him. Sadly his life was bought to an end he was my great uncle, and yes Larvins did run most of the barrow boys fruit and veg in Nottingham at one point, also we do still work goose fair (but our names not Larvin) it was my Dads aunty who bought him up Flo Larvin who passed down the Nottingham Goose Fair stall to him, and its now being passed down to me
  8. With regards to Johnny Larvin (Johnny Carro, Johnny Carrington), he is my fathers late uncle I would just like to correct a previous comment, it was stated he just dropped dead while out for a run, sadly that wasnt the case Johnny Larvin was actually ran over and killed near trent bridge.
