  1. I dont know about you son Piggy but I find it very difficult with jobs and employers not understanding the condition and just putting it down to stupidness and i have been told several time to either get over my disability or get out.

I am a person who has Dyspraxia which is is a chronic neurological disorder beginning in childhood and lasting into adulthood that can affect planning of movements and co-ordination as a result of brain messages not being accurately transmitted to the body.   5. My grandma, Joan Peck, Used to work at Toby's department store right up until its closure. She worked in the china department and then for Royal Dalton department when she was head hunted. Does anybody have any photo's of it or want to share your memories.

  15. Ive always been fascinated by old wedding photo's so i would be very interested to see everyone elses. This is my Grandma and Grandads wedding in June 1955 at Ashwell Street Methodist church, Netherfield. They hired a double decker bus from Nottingham corpo to take all the guests to the wedding reception which was held in the Ballroom at the Elite on Parliament Street L - R are: Great grandfather Ernest Peck, Marjory Hammond nee Peck ( grandads cousin), Leonard Turville (granddads step brother), Great grand-step mother Mable Peck nee Small, Magda Peck ( Grandads neice), My grandad Walter Peck
  16. My ex best friend, she was born and lived for many years at a house on smithy crescent where i believe the leisure center is now, she said they were horrible little houses, always damp and cold in winter and roasting hot and damp in summer.
  17. Going as fast as we can beachbum, Its one strip of land outside our house that is holding us up. No one can find who owns it, we thought we sorted this out as land registry went back to 1750 and sorted it, however they are now not satisfied and now want to come and take pictures, so it could be November before we get up there now .

  19. Its a shame the railway line isnt still open through Mablethorpe, The line closed in 1970 and where mablethorpe station was is now the leisure centre i believe. Still havent moved yet, Land registry issues now with our house were in now.

  21. Just found out that Park House on Burton Road, then called Main street, was built for my Great x 2 Uncle, John Godfrey. Godfrey House was built by his older brother Samuel and they were in the lace manufacturing business being the owners of Godfrey Brothers Lace on High Pavement, Nottingham. My family must of been fairly successful.
