Hi Ileft Greenwood School at Christmas 1957 after moving there from Sneinton Boulevard the previous year,Joe Morley was our form teacher,5th year,he was also the music teacher,other teachers I remember were Claridge for art,Williams for PE,Capper for maths,Bonner for Science,Dover for metalwork,I played for the school football team iin 1956/7 when we won the Notts Senior Sheild the teacher who took us for football was the Tech Drawing teacher.   8. Hi PJR My husband attended Greenwoo School and Sneinton Boulevard,he had one year in the new Greenwood School and left in 1957,the only thign he remembers Colwick Woods for is the cross country runs he had to do with the then PE teacher a Mr Williams.

Hi 2mortar1 Sorry,I don't recall the Fletchers,I also lived on Farnborough Rd but neither me or my other half,Alan Mee,went to school in Clifton I went to Mundella and he went to Greenwood.We both lived in Clifto from !953 t0 1963 when we got married.Brian Cupitt,who we both new from the Locarno Days,was a few years older than Mick.

  14. Brian and Mick did live at Clifton,on Farnborough road near the Comp school Brian being the oldest and a good friend of mine,and their name ws Cupitt
  15. In the latter years Pipewood was mixed,I went in 1955/56/57 and the last two years were mixed fabulous memories of that place especially when it was mixed
  16. The first youth club leader at Clifton in about 1956ish was a Mrs Machin,I think she was some relation to the Notts County director,then webby took over and it was run as a proper youth club. I went there from its opening to when it moved to the new premises

    At least it's saved the taxpayers of Nottingham having to fork out for a new Sh*tty Ground for Rushcliffe Rovers to play on
  18. There used to be a coffee bar somewhere near the top of Hockley called the Bohemian about 1959/60

  21. The view is taken from Middle Marsh looking towards Drury Hill the hill in the view is Middle Hill Drury Hill going off to the left
  22. Bamber Farmers was at the top of Exchange walk at the junction with the Poultry they were haberdashers and sold buttons,dressmaking patterns,cotton etc I think that they were eventually bought out by Jessops
