i went to st.bernadettes rc primary school on sneinton dale and lived on barnston rd - my sledging run was through the 'palings' at top of the road which took us onto the 'banks'. colwick woods was also my playground in them days! 1956 - 59 -

re bridge over arkwright st i believe was used by the victoria station line (Grand Central) and this the line to london. virtually under the bridge bought my first ever super duper racing bike from ANDY BONE cycle shop!!

remember him from the rowing days,i believe he was a member of the 'Boat Club'.i was at the 'Union' as well as rowing i was also to be found at the top of the stairs collecting money and tickets for the gigs!
