Chris still comes to occasional games. He came yesterday when we beat Birstall 5-0. I am Secretary of Radford fc. We were formally called Radford Olympic. I am at the ground for all home games working at the turnstile.

I was there 1965-71. Great times. Enjoyed the long walk to Trent pool, past the Forest ground to play football.

Yes I did know the Oldknows. My mum banned me from going inside their house in case I caught Cholera!

I lived at the bottom of Colsterworth Terrace and I was in the same class as Susan Cumberpatch at Arkwright. One of her brothers drowned in the canal after falling off the wall. I can remember the Truelove family at number 1 and the first girl I ever fancied Pamela Condran at number 17.

I like to visit clubs in the Notts Senior League, East Midlands Counties League and Central Midlands League. From August 2012 I will be programme editor for Radford FC. We play the game hoping to Win, trying to win, determined to Win, but above all by our play, conduct and sportsmanship deserving to win. If we fail we shall not whimper or whine, but with a cheery smile go forward to the day when success shall crown our efforts. When the Club started in 1895 the first secretary was the Rev. W.O. Smith. The club colours were Red and Blue half shirts. At the outbreak of the 1914-18 war it became defunct and it was restarted in 1926 by Harold T. Hooley and since then had made quite a name in local football circles. In the early 1930's the club were called
