  1. Just heard from another Green bowler that the green will be open on Wednesday, but you have to book, only 2 pesons allowed on the green, (no competition ) if playing with your other half. Must addmit ready to start bowling, but at the moment can't see much future for green bowls, this year all league's cancelled so no contest. The season ends about Sept.

  4. For the lost members of Hucknall the Tower is or was near thwe oid RAF camp. Behind Westvill est which is on Watnal Rd facing Rolls Royce test beds which used to be, but now house's. Can anyone remember The Westvill Social club? l think that is what it was called. There is also a web site called "Hucknall Past and Present" if any one is interested. I think that Westvill social club was pulled down and the pub "Will Scartlet" was built on its spot.

  8. Going back to be knee-high to a grass-hopper!!! Who would always deliver your shopping and bread and milk I can only think of one store!! CO_OP of cause where we live in this little village we had a nice CO - OP do they deliver NO! 2/4 miles away there is another CO-OP which has quite a lot more stock than ours. Do they delivery Yes great, but were we live that area is not coverd by them. CRAZY don't you think.
  9. I tried all the supermarkets for a slot, then tried Iceland, they don't just sell frozen food but also lots of fresh eg bread,milk.veg, and much more. They have lot's of offers for only £1 00, You do have to spend a min ammount of £35 00 for free delivery, but if your shopping is less they charge its not much only a few pounds.When you have shopped once with them, they will send you e-mails when they have new slots, plus they will give you a time slot eg 9 00 10 00 you can book your delivery as you are a speaical customer and only you can used this hour to book in your time slot and shop.

  11. The only thing that i can recall Flittermans changed to Army and Navey stores next to the was a curtain shop, then next shop was something to do with the buses (get your bus pass) offices. Next i thnk was a Red Cross shop charity.   17. Please, Please DJ360 don't open a salon you will give us all a bad name, the square back cut was called a boston, now days most salons will just cut the neck line in the shape as it grows. For all of you men out there who wish to cut your own hair so-long as you don't take the guard off the clippers you can not really make a mistake. If you want it shaved clippers with out guard, if you want it short no 1 guard in the nape. just before bottom of ears cange to no 2 guard then crown no 3 gaurd or you can still use no 2. Dilivery slots ! well folks i will still keep trying, but i have 2 daughter in laws who work for the NHS and they will do all my shopping for me, but i do feel guilty with them working full time, then comming home to teenage sons and husband's, but they don't seem to mind. If any member lives Jacksdale way we have a very, very good butcher he sell veg as well as good quality meat, he takes orders phone/facebook and he will deliver not sure how far though.   20. Like everyone else i have tried to get a dilivery slot with all the big/small stores. Went on computer the other day and was amazed that Iceland had slots, not just one slot but loads, any way jumped in quick sorted out what i wanted and left it to iceland it was not difficult to order on line allthough I felt that i had s time slot and had to order in the time slot, but this i think was it was first time nererves. any way paid for it and waited, thh moring before had an email saying that 3things could not supply they gave me 3 choices.
