  1. What was the name of the club in Beeston by the Railway Crossing gates adjacent to the Plessey Works, was it the 49 or the 59 Club please, The Carpet Baggers played there regularly., many thanks in anticipation.
  2. Sorry to have to correct you on the Strats colour finish, it was "Sunburst", which is a wood finish running from light to dark around the edge of the Start's body. I own one my self with the same finish along with a 1967 Epiphone Casino as used by the Beatles {John & George} around 1966/67 & played by John on the Get Back video on the Apple Corp's roof concert in Baker Street.
  3. Clive Lynch is a friend of mine we go back to the early / mid 60's when we both played in groups around the city's pubs in those days, I see him at Meadow Lane when the Pies are at home he sits in front of me. I should add he is now known as Carrington Brookes.
  4. I played in the group that supported Long John Baldry that night The Hoodoo's who later changed their name to The Clockwork Toy's, played many times at The Slipper & Palais along with other Notts venues. I knew Mad Mike at The Slipper very well, the Toys moved away from Notts., playing in the North East & West, after spending a year touring the Continent. Sadly Mick Hinchliff our Bass player has just passed away, but we did reform for a one off gig at Notts County's Stadium {for a private function}three years back, the first time we had played together since the late 70's, Happy Days.
