I'm stumbling in Polish but early attempts in my teens to learn Russian have been a great help!

Poland has been a real eye-opener. Beautiful countryside, very good food, lots to see, friendly people and above all the cost of living at 43% of the UK's means that me and my Polish partner can live on my OAP and my civil service pension can be used to travel the length and breadth of Europe - from Finland to Greece and Portugal to Croatia - even to Australia to visit my son.
