  3. The triangular car was built on a Hillman Imp chassis (rear engine). Was the place called Mettcalf's. Den.
  4. Does anyone remember the garage on Foxhill road near the Carlton pub? They used to build cars for TV use, one of doctor Who's cars was built there. Den.
  5. It was a poor turn out. kathleen Dooley the organiser turned up but none of her seven brothers. Quite a few promised but never made it, Babysitting problems etc. Some names that did make it, Diane Dore and her sister Jacqui, Rob Perkins, Kev Clarke, John Hammond, Billy pierce and a couple of women who's names i have forgotten. Including me there were twelve people. Den.

  7. Bump! I went to a Trent Bridge reunion last Saturday and heard that Alan moved to West Bridgford somewhere near the Lady Bay pub.
  8. What about Linkie Wilson, ex Mr Universe. Used to work at the Black Orchid. The worst bouncers (door supervisors) i met worked at a club on Station St, Parkside? It's a good job i'm a black belt in Origami. Den.

  15. Ayup Yvette, i remember the Piccadilly club in Bulwell and a doorman called Fred who worked there early seventies.

  17. Austen Avenue in Forest fields is still partly cobbled.
  18. That street sounds to me like Jenner street. First road on the right off Hucknall road, there were terraced houses on there early sixties but not now. It is behind a pub that was called the New Inn and there is a pub on that road called the Gladstone. Does that sound familiar Bazzer? Den.

  20. I can remember a Cafe on Mount St in the late sixties and am sure it was only a wooden building, was this Churchills?

  23. Brough motorcycle club meeting this Sunday 17th Aug. Holme Pierpont in Nottingham, 200 Brough Bikes expected to attend.
  24. On the bridge was an advert for Oscrofts of castle boulevard. Vauxhall cars and Bedford trucks.
