  1. I did say it 's hard to explain........... I'll have another go:- I think that if the plant kingdom goes suddenly from none flowering grasses and trees etc to all the different floral species that we have now, then something gave them that little 'push' in the right direction (And I'm not talking about modern day horticulturalists!).
  2. I'm not really considering myself a pagan as such (Although I've been called similar a few times!) but I'm more inclined to believe that there is something there pushing us along, a bit like a "Mother Nature" guiding us through evolution. It's hard to explain what I'm meaning, but when you learn that at one time we just had green plants, then there was a mutation to create that first flowering plant, but then, by a complete miracle, another mutation happened so that there could be a cross pollination, that's the little push I'm talking about. Things like Mistletoe couldn't survive without bir
  3. Heard it was six changes including Rooney? Sterling (Hooray!)
  4. I heard that yesterday too Nick! Apparently he's out of favour with Mauriniho
  5. I tried to get F1 ANS (IAN'S) back in the day but it went for 4 grand (I think) . I had all of £250 !
  6. Now not let us all forget the TV series called Paradise Heights (Later revived as (The Eustace Brothers IMMSC) which was set and filmed in Nottingham, where Ralph Little's character keeps referring to Sneeenton as opposed to Snenton, obviously because in his script he's seen it written ''Sneinton''! Whilst I'm at it, when I worked for the RAC back in the late 80's early 90's I was on Leicester Forest East services and got asked by some Aussies if I could tell them how to get to Loogaboorah.................. I'll let you work that one out for yourselves.
  7. I had this 'programme' autographed by most of the Notts and Florist teams, I then waited ages and ages to get Brian Cloughs autograph, but got it I did. It would be worth a few bob nowadays too, but like most things I had of any value, my mother through it away!
  8. They look like the could have been offices 'back in the day'
  9. I know I had originally said Cornwall, and whilst I still love the place it's proved too expensive for us, so our house came off the market and we resigned our selves to staying here a while longer. I was chatting with my neurologist and telling her I was off to Tenerife for a break shortly, she has suggested it would be better for my condition to move somewhere warm. I jokingly mentioned it to SWMBO and she immediately got the ball rolling, no kidding, straight home and on the internet ! We have agreed on the Costa Del Azahar, (The Orange Blossom Coast, and it truly is!) It's between the C

  13. That's the view from the place in Cornwall, and nope , it's totally untouched. Thanks Loppylugs by the way. Good to be back.
  14. During my absence:- A whole Gammon from Morrisons which was on their 'whoopsie' counter, it hadn't been reduced, just dumped by someone who had obviously found something on there that took their fancy instead, but out of the kindness of my heart I pointed it out to a manager that was passing and asked if it needed taking back to it's rightful place, as I would take it for him as we were heading that way. He asked "Do you want it" "Depends on the price"! He told me to wait there and came back with it reduced from £29.80 to 29p!. Close enough thought I................................ result.
  15. I too went to Spain (Ibiza) for 4 years as an 'entertainer'. and funnily enough, I worked at what was "Food for thought" too although by then it was called "Chaplins" although I wasn't a DJ there I just worked on the door.
  16. I grew my first one (Tache) back in the 80s, because everybody had one,(Even my birds, I've got to check up on that, is Eric a girls name?) I suppose we were all saying "Look at me, I'm a man!" Then I tried a beard towards the end of the decade, but it came out ginger, so it didn't last long, I finally grew another full set when I knew I was off on a three day deep sea fishing trip in November 2011?. Anybody who knows me on Facebook will see that on my profile picture. That came off after Christmas that year, the only real reason being it tickled and irritated my nose.
  17. Thanks Michael, all is as well as can be expected here. Hope you and yours are well too
  18. Cheers Nick, good to be back.
  19. Only ever met Mark Crossley once and he was a right arrogant SOB, it was in the old Black Orchid, I was having a natter with Steve Stone (Lovely Bloke) and Crossley walked up and said words to the equivalent of "What are you talking to this fool for?" Stoney told him to "Eff off, he's far more interesting than you" Made my year that did!
  20. Well that was a weird game !! If we hadn't had two tries disallowed by a cheating Aussie line judge (One was perfectly good, even the Aussie commentator (and that one eyed Welsh tw*t Jonathan Davies) said so!) we'd have won a match we weren't expected to. And as for us being 10-0 up at one point !? In the end the best side won
  21. Hope it's gone by Tuesday, I'm going fishing for the first time in 3 weeks !
