  6. have you got a link to your website ayupmeducks?? would be interested to see where the coal seams ran...had a house near wollaton pit at franklyn gdns that suffered from subsidence and now live at moorgreen near the old moorgreen watnall and i think it was london pits and this house has also suffered.
  7. really miss the qe and tavern in town but miss the white horse on ilkeston road more, shouldnt be allowed turning a listed building into a cafe...even got a halal meat sign above the door.
  8. well said pooh bear you just hit the nail on the head... its sad all our pubs are shutting at an alarming rate! the one that finished me off was the white horse on ilkeston rd...it made me move to newthorpe near eastwood cos there's not too many shutting up here. would be nice if someone made an effort to print a book on nottinghams lost pubs with big colour prints and any info about the pub or a bit of history.
