Someone told me recently that Bluecoat had taken over what was formerly Clarendon College. Does anyone know whether that's true?
I thought Clarendon had been demolished. May be wrong tho'

I have had a bottle (glass) bin for a long time and don't have to pay for it. Anyone requesting a bottle bin now to replace the yellow bag we were originally provided with has to pay for it. I suspect that I will have to pay for it at some point, in which case they can have it back. Broxtowe Council.

Trumans (if we're talking about car dealers) were on the corner of Mansfield Road/Bluecoat Street - https://maps.app.goo.gl/wE3ZjhuTpLbmRU9F8
Yes that is correct. They moved onto Huntingdon Street at some point. But then I often confuse Huntingdon Street with Wollaton Street or even Talbot Street. They all seem to have the same 'feel' to them.

Thanks, I'll go with that. Am I right in thinking that it would not be Truman's old place. I don't remember that being on a corner.

I miss read Kelly's
Granby & Victoria Villas before Holroyd Avenue & situated after number 11 Sneinton Dale (Dale Street end) resident Albert Porter chimney sweeper.
I knew someone named Porter on Sneinton Dale. Further up in the council houses. Worked with my father at the ROF. Can't for the life of me remember his first name. Probably not relevant anyway.

Trent/Barton buses are being cancelled right left and centre. The latest excuse - 'demisters not working'

Not keen on the Horse & Groom, Moorgreen. Its one of these places where they put a gravy boat or similar one one side of the plate rather than filling the plate with food. Puts me off instantly.

The Range at Somercotes had Wilko stuff in before Christmas. Seeds were among the items, so I don't think it was old stock. Wilko usually sell seeds off minus 70% at the end of the gardening season and I am pretty sure that had done that before they went pop.

I sampled a teaspoon yesterday, it tasted fine and I got out of bed alive this morning so I intend to carry on and use it.

Just found a jar of raspberry jam at the back of the cupboard. The date on it is Nov 2020. That date is neither use by or sell by. Will it be OK to use? I had another that was Jan 2020. That had been part used but even that hadn't got any of the usual white mould that you get on an opened jam jar that has been forgotten. I have binned that one in nay event.

Yes Mr Pianoman sir but what about your carbon footprint from Eastwood to Kimberly or did you use your bus-pass?

Don't take this to much to heart please!
Bus pass! 18 months now since I last drove a car.

Just got a bottle from Sainsbury's, Kimberley today. 75p cheaper than Morrisons and tastes just as good. Oh, and you will find with the Italian wines

Just came onto Nottstalgia - page opens at 'All Activity' - thought it was slightly amusing that there was two subjects listed one after the other - 'Car Insurance' and 'It's a Scam.'
I'll say no more.

It just appears but you will have had a letter to tell you qualify to receive it.

I'm in Morrison's tomorrow. Got to try this!
Just a warning! It is quite sweet.

@Jill Sparrow Well I bought a bottle. Very tasty. I would drink it in preference to a good many French wines. Problem is, the cork won't go back in the bottle and I wouldn't like it too evaporate!

Not heard of it. It sounds like some type of medicine. If it's not dry I might well like it.
-
Thanks. Can I just ask you to have a look if they actually stock Sandemans LBV at the moment please, if so, at what cost per bottle. Waitrose are not actually advertising any Sandemans at the moment, so they may no longer be stocking it.

I walked down St James's Street yesterday. Would have had the same effect there! Never seen any area of Nottingham look so bad.
