  2. Nice to know you still have delicates.
  3. Just a smattering of snow on the car this morning. Having worked most of my life outdoors (although I work in kitchens these days) I don't get too badly affected by the cold. However, my poor little wifey would feel cold in a blast furnace bless her.
  4. I do it because I find it easier (whatdyer mean I'm a lazy git?)
  5. Is that the Biased Broadcasting Company. Whoops!. I like to have a look in the Post and see who is dead (Hatches, Matches and Dispatches). I also like to find out what's on in town.
  6. Aagh! Raleigh Pond. When my kids were about 15 I had a small pond in my garden which I just used for wild life. I had loads of different kinds of newt but no frogs. One day my youngest mentioned loads of frogs at Raleigh Pond. So I asked him to get me a couple next time he went. He got me a couple all right. Two huge Sketchley carrier bags full. I made him take them back. If you drive along Torville Drive, you come to where the canal was and the pound between locks 15 and 16 has been preserved as a sitting area (a bit overgrown last time I looked). Old Coach Road passed over at this point a

  9. Amazing aerial photo. Brings back many happy memories. Summer holidays were spent playing in that area.
  10. Extra hour in bed. Up at six for work.
  11. Noticed that Anne. Didn't realise she was living in that particular care home. She never taught me but I had great respect for her.
  12. My poor wife, although born and bred in Nottingham, was born with the surname Czeravinska. Her Ukrainian born dad changed the family surname by deed poll to something more English.
  13. Re #6. I delivered the milk to The Old General in the mid 70s. I remember that lunchtime entertainment on a Sunday which was about the time I got there. Very enlightening.
  14. Big fan of Antiques Road Show (sad old me). RIP Mr Scully.
  15. We're DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!!!!!!! Who gives a s--t. We'll all go together and meet up on the other side. Might be a bit warmer.
  16. I have 3 plum trees and have harvested around 15 washing up bowls full. I have given loads away. Used to make jam and wine but have no time any more. We all have the trots now.
  17. There were loads of Bell Pits in the woods on Glaisdale Drive before they built on them. Local kids used to join them up with tunnels underground.
  18. So would her bank account be called Hedge funds? Sorry.
  19. So scary. That pilot has the same name as my youngest son.
  20. I must say I keep trying not to swear. Then I get behind the wheel of my car. The worst for me was recently when my wife's car needed a new seat belt for MOT. As a new one was well over 200 quid, I shopped around all the scrap yards. I managed to get hold of a much older S40 seat belt at Bits at Micks on Newton St. Dunkirk. I told him over the phone DRIVERS SIDE!!!!!!! I picked it up late Monday and took it to the garage where it was being MOTd. I was at work Tuesday when I got a phone call from the garage. Wrong side. As my wife was looking after her mum, I had to drive from Dronfield when I
