  1. I haven't listed the names about my fathers family due to the issue of reconciliation that has been made clear by them. I think I was hoping to find my grandfathers family with hope of being accepted, as I've been rejected from my father and his step family.
  2. My parents separated when I was young, therefore we lost touch with my fathers side of the family. I began my ancestry research as I got older and wanted to understand more about the family I didn't know or have a chance to meet. Over more then ten years of my research I have found much information from my mothers line, thanks to my mother and grandmothers memories. I suspect he would have been known locally and as there was limited family Greek restaurants owned at this time. He might have left the area soon after the 50's or a possible death in his young age of 25-35 perhaps. I know it's a long shot but I have no other information about him but hoping someone might have a memory that I can search on.

  7. I was unable to locate any evidence for the existence for the El Greco restaurant until 1968 of the floor plan structure of the building but no name of the owner was found on the archive. The address was 23-25 Alfreton Road, Notts. The building was known to be Alfreton Cafe in 1950-1956, thanks to the search in the directories. The Robin Hood fish bar, 208 Arkwright street, Notts is a registered business from 1971 The research is all from the Archives and Kelly's directories
  8. This information was found at Nottingham Archives, from the floor plan of the restaurant for 1959. Chez Pierre Restaurant 45 Bridlesmith Gate Notts Belongs to P Sarrides
