Although Bulwell not as busy as it once was...........reckon its still busier than most places.around Notts.....even busier than larger places like Mansfield.......i believe a lot of it is down to the free parking everywhere..........@Beekay Wilko's is on the corner facing the Market .....used to be the Coop..... Some of The things Bulwell has going for it....apart from the Free Parking.... Lovely Church ...over looking it....... Despite its name......''The Bogs'' Bus Station.... Railway station... The Tram... Market..4 days per week... 2 golf courses

Hate to think what main street Bulwell would look like if Wilko's closes........its the biggest store on main street ..........indoor Market perhaps? Mind you the outdoor market is hardly thriving........

Just my thoughts Jill......about 3 months ago i purchased some Plant Pots at 4.50 each went for some more couple of weeks ago 6.50same Pots !! Says it all really....

Just got up a few minutes ago and someone has made my day already.... Went on Facebook and a chap said 'hello'' are you the ......... (my name) who set me on at Savemore Bulwell back in 1970?.................couldnt believe it over 50 years ago and i was only there a few months........ Shoplifters and the Police................wasn't sure where to put this...but i thought well ''It does get Political'' Clearing some old papers came across some items from my Store Detecting days.....ie Photo's from Coop stores dated in year 2,000 and newspaper cuttings.......the photo's show dozens of shoplifters in the act......obviously can't show them on here....and in one newspaper cutting it tells of 4 local men sent to prison for theft at several Nottingham Coops......i was part of a team that helped get them arrested....and whilst i mostly reminisce about my funny and indeed comic

The day has turned out a bit hectic Family wise...........Son from Rutland showed up with his Lady and my lovely latest Granddaughter ''Charley Rose''...Nice to see them,, Then my 30 year old Grandson (who's in the Army) contacted us with an invite to go to his Birthday Party in Town.......ive declined but Wife's gone........i'm sure it will be a great family get together.... Think we are all agreed that the Political Parties ie Labour and Tory's are about the same nowadays.........and we the general public are sick of em all... Surely if the right people got together and formed a Party that set out the right policies for the country it would sweep to power... Stop the Boats..... Make Brexit work...
