    Something Magic about an English country garden.........after our long cold winter its so welcoming........either sat alone and watch the sun going down...

    Or with a loved one when the summer sun is rising and all is quiet....as we drink our morning coffee...and talk about the day ahead......feel the coming hours.......and face it with a smile............

    Sounds like my better half Loppy............she's a very bright lady...but she never manages to see obvious everyday things..................i can completely change the garden or a room in the bungalow.......and after a couple of days i have to point out the changes.....

                   At one of our old houses i planted a 12 foot tree........about 4 foot from the front door.....took her about a week to notice........bless her......

    Now im alone again (at least for a few days).............keeping busy.....eating out.........i'm a good boy really i'm doing the household chores which i do anyway......today so far ive had breakfast in Bulwell.early...then came home and concentrated on my 110 Potted plants..........moved every one of them into different parts of the garden...and even though i say so myself it looks brilliant........a different garden even...........i really enjoy doing this...i'm the same indoors .....love rearranging the furniture...not that difficult being in a smallish bungalow.......Donna lets me get on with it.......says i have a flair for it....got be good at summat aint i....:)....

     

    Edit.........bit like my Marsdens days back in the 60s and 'Window Dressing''......got a certificate for it ya know.......but keep it to yasens please...its all about image tha knows....lol

    Think the word ''Legend'' is very over-used........but not in the case of Gerry...

    To me he is a true sound of Liverpool.........

    I believe this song by them made number one in the states.......sadly i think all the original 'Pacemakers'..have all left us now along with 'Gerry''.......but in my mind they are all still ''Ferrying'' across the Mersey.......

    My son just text me....ref Willie Limond.........a fine Scottish Boxer..who 's just passed away aged only 45........my son lost on points to him back in 2008 in Paisley........I travelled up there to see him...good fight......very proud of my son who took him the distance........met him after the fight........very nice chap...RIP Willie,,,..

    You right Jill.........tipping it down again......anyway Donna's took the car anyway........she's gone shopping for something new to wear on her up-coming holiday in Turkey.............alright for some init.............she's going to that place where the cable car accident was last week........dont think she'll be going on it.........

                        Last time she went on one was the one in Matlock and it ''Frit'' her to death..........

               Seriously she deserves the holiday.....not been for 6 years since my OP....and she needs a break from me...lol.........

    Thats sad about Worksop Rog...........used to enjoy the place many Moons ago........they had quite a large Savemore supermarket which i helped set up mid to late 60s.it was on the main street near a river if i remember correctly)

    ....lovely lass from 'Wombwell'  (sp ) worked there ...her being my main memory of the place.....:rolleyes:

               I had breakfast in Bulwell this morning......Bulwell market not what it was but reasonably busy......oddly apart from the staff in all the retail places didnt see any old friends.....seems by the look of half the people shopping today...many immigrants now dwell there in.....at least it keeps the place busy.......and to be honest they seem a decent lot......even saw a sign for planning permission for a ''Mosque''......Bulwell always keeps up with the trends.............Been looking for a long while for a new casual Jacket...but in most of the posher shops thought they were too expensive for what they are........but today on the Market found just what i wanted and only £25......so i'll be poncing about in that for a while...
