  1. A lot of the spelling mistakes maybe due to the spelling on the computer being set to American and not English as we know it.

  4. Picture House, Long Row opened Nov 1912 and was the leading cinema in Nottingham until the Elite opened in 1930 and the Picture House closed in Jan 1939. It never converted to sound.

  15. Just had a look in a book of Nottingham cinemas and there was onecalled Curzon on Mansfield Road, Carington which was demolished December 1958,

  23. I never use a self-service checkout in Tesco or elsewhere. The wages of checkout staff are obviously paid by the customers in the price of goods so, if you use the self-service checkout shouldn't you have a reduction in the price of the goods? W H Smith's have self-service now but I just wait for a member of staff to do the scanning.
