  1. Thanks for the advice and the welcomes, everyone. It sounds like the commute wouldn't be too bad at all, and I had a look at google maps this morning which seemed to confirm that it would be around 25 minutes. Regarding living in Loughborough, Keyworth itself, or elsewhere more rural, I should have mentioned that I'm in my 20s, have just finished uni, I'm single and I've been looking at houseshares. Really I was looking at places not too far away from the city centre, where there are things going on so that I can get to know people in the area. Mapperley isn't necessarily as good for that as
  2. Hi, I'm moving to Nottingham next month to start a new job, and have been looking at places to live over the weekend. As I'll be working in Keyworth, I was looking at West Bridgford mainly, but looked at a few houses in other areas too. After looking at a lot of places, the one house that stands head and shoulders above the rest is a place in Mapperley Park, but the main sticking point is the worry over the commute, as I've heard that Nottingham is notoriously bad. Would anyone mind telling me how long they reckon it would take to commute from Mapperley Park to Keyworth both during rush hour
