  1. Damn good picture there Cliff I remember walking to work at the railway on nights seeing the local bobby in the signal box, no doubt having a chat and a cuppa wi the signalman. Thanks for that cliff.
  2. I started off with a small bunch that was there when we moved in and split them till they stretch the whole length, odd times some of them come up blind but they've done well this year. good luck with them broxtowelad
  3. I grow agapanthus as I've mentioned before, this year about 140 Mrs Karlton went into B&q and saw 2 in a plantpot for £23 00 I feel like a millionair would you believe it.

  11. We don't hear of people being addressed as sir these days, or tipping yer cap. I was thinking about my roofing days in the late fifties and sixties, an architect would come along to see how the roof he designed was taking shape, he'd be greeted by a handshake and a "good morning Sir." many times this would happen with my other workmates. A lot of respect appears to have sadly faded away.

  13. cut pieces of old hosepipe approx. 6ins screw each end through a washer, makes handles for things in the garden, lifting cold frames up etc.
