We don't really have too many distinctive smells here except for the Chestnuts when they are ripe for picking, not even the streams smell where we can catch beautiful Trout, but tell me why do they nearly always taste muddy BF?

Sorry Anne I always think you are in the US. I heard the weather is very hot I must say much more of this cold weather & I shall be winging my way to warmer climes myself! Good you are keeping well,I missed you too Am just looking out of my window & though it has stopped raining & the sun is shining, it's bitterly cold & we have snow on the peaks over the rd. I think John West do kippers in tins. You must be able to find kippers in Canada? We have several shops which sell a small selection of Pommy foodstuffs,a bit restricted but not bad. Do you remember Hobnobs? we can get them here & Smedleys mushy peas...mmmm. I'm going to move these posts to Expats section.

And Mr Kipling iced fancies yummo. When I was in UK in Nov last year we had a few of Mr Kipling cakes all delish,all sweet & sticky & mmm. Their swiss tarts are the gluggiest,moistest tart you could wish for, i'm salivating now!

I agree, spoilt people with way too much money who have unfortunately listened to the likes of Parkinson,[ to name just one personality] who can't refrain from telling them how talented & how special they are until they believe it & start to behave like complete asses. None of them could do what I consider to be a "proper job" if there lives depended on it. EG. Paris Hilton to name just one dumb spoilt slapper.

Oh that's lovely 2 bubs to spoil I don't have grandkids yet,don't even know if my boys will bother having them but it's their decision not mine,I don't care either way as long as they are both happy & they seem to be thank god. I sometimes think it's a blessing they don't have them would make it difficult for us as one son is in UK & the other in Brisbane now,so I wouldn't get to see them very often anyway. I have my lovely dog Duncan to love, they are certainly good companions thats for sure.
