    Good morning Phil, Just wondering how your hip has turned out and that you are back into full action? I mentioned some time ago about the trout lakes at Thurgaton. Apparently they are fishing very well but I have as yet not visited them. Hopefully you might join me there one day when things get more normal? Look up DCAC for details. I can take you as a guest.       A fishing pal had lots of pike from Loch Awe in July. I'm having a day there next July when we stay in a posh hotel in Oban. Be my first time. What weight line do you  use? To get back into casting I suggest you use a line one weight heavier that your rod spec.

    Tim - I knew your dad and mum (Val) very well. We were all at Palin St Baptist and youth club together. My cousin Janice is still a close friend of Val - who I was sorry to hear is not to well. Your mam will remember me. Terry

      Fraid not Martyn. I lived on Peveril St. I think the school is spelt Peverel.

    I'll be grateful if you would post some photos I don't have any at all I think I've got one of them holding a bike and one of him and my uncle Dennis with a tandem.

      Hi Zom. I found the picture today and was disappointed to see the poor condition that it was in. It was taken on an old Brownie box camera and is a faded sepia and I can only identify faces because I knew them all well. I have tried to copy and enlarge it but the results are even worse. There is only a small facial of Roy in sunglasses.among a group of ten. I could have it professionally copied and post it to you but doubt that it will be very enlightening.

      OK Zom - it may take a while because the old pics are in a box somewhere behind a load of junk in a store room. I only have the one pic with Roy on it.
