Please help, as a child I remember going to a very smoky but delious smelling greasy spoon where bet Fred and the money shop are now on the square (although I believe the address is "high road"). I'm sure it used to have a sliding door and it may have been blue if my memory serves me. I guess it was there mid seventies to early eighties. Anyone know what it was called or better still have a pic of it? Am I loopy or did it exist? Thanks
  2. Can anyone put me out of my misery. I remember as a child being very fond of a cafe roughly on the corner of beeston square opposite the bank and the traffic lights. I think it was painted blue. I remember it stank of oil and fags and had an unusual sliding door either at the front or midway in. My mother can't remember it so I'm hoping I didn't dream it!
