  8. hi, I moved to Clifton,( bridge farm lane) from bell street ,meadows. I found it a difficult move from TBS to Fairham comp, what used to unnerve me was those black gowns they used to wear. I went to the reunion they held just befor they shut the place saw some of my old mates alan Curtis , alan towel, amongst others. One golden rule that was at the top of the list was you don,t walk on thee grass and the grass used to grow right up to the walkway unlike the later years, god help you if you got spotted!!   14. hi popothepixie , yes your dad was dead right , I am almost 70 . I still do it to this day. We have pork pie and pickles on Christmas day morning and boxing day morning. My dad did it and my granddads and grammars did it. All my grandparents died well into their eighties. I ask my granddad why we ate pork pie and pickles on Christmas mornings and he said that his dad who was born in 1856 told him it was because it celebrated the harvest, the pork pie was made from preserve pork with salt and pepper & spice , Onions cauliflower cucumber etc. were all pickled to preserve them hence pickl
  15. hi T.B.J ex students , cann any body remember he name of the young gorgeous teacher who taught the 1st year kids, she used to teach in a class room almost next to he cloak room the class room was next to mar smiths classroom. I can see her face but can,t remember her name, she had dark coloured hair, and was very slim, she was my first teacher in trent bridge juniors after I left collergate, I fancied her rotten, god knows why I was only about 9 years old!! I was in a gang which consisted of me (don walker) graham shooter, David loydall, and Lesley knight . some of the things we got up to!! not to put a too finer point on it we were a bloody nuisance to the teachers ,we were always getting into trouble!   24. I remember going to the nott,m holiday home in rosenby Skegness ,it was about 1956.
