We ran a shop called ' Lynn and Malc's on Nottingham Road New Basford fron 1986 -96 ( opposite ELS ) - It belonged to tht misery Gordon Ingham before us............... -

My garden is looking great at the moment, beautiful green lawn, flowers all in bloom, tubs looking good and all the hedges and trees been trimmed, fencing painted....just the hanging baskets that are a bit disappointing this year.......all in all, very pleasing to the eye.......

The same bloke killed Linda Mann, her mum Kathleen and family once lived next door to us in Hucknall back in the 50's - they moved to Keyworth in 1960.......

No he was warpped in a plastic sheet and put in a chest freezer....I remember it well as I was on the jury......

I can remember that, the bloke who did it was never found, was suppose to be an accident, he just wanted money from the till, but she put up a fight, he did not mean to kill her, pushed her and she banged her head and died, then he just locked the door behing him and walked away.........He was supposed to have walked all the way down Nottingham Road Basford, called in our shop for a filled roll and then disappeared into knowhere..........my hubby was questioned..........

I had my baby in January 1978 - she was premature as I had Proclampsia and delivered by Miss Baker late on Sunday night, everybody was marvellous and without them we both probably would have died............I have never had any complaints when I have been in hospital, the only time people were nasty to me was the Famly Planning People at Bulwell Health Centre in the 1980's, they were right bitches, they had no right to dictate to me what contraception I should use......Our NHS is the best in the world.......

I think our hopital's are wonderful, I had the best treatment last year when I became ill.........nobody must ever call the NHS to me.....

We have a plague of flies of some sort and they have ruined a lovelly bush......we were told to spray it with soapy water, but it has done no good......the rest of the garden looks great, all the rain has made the grass so green and the flowers are blooming........

I can remember that murder in a cafe in Basford in the early 1970's, when a young woman murdered her husband because he was horrible to her, she wanted to get rid of him and bring in her lover to live with her, who was an Irish guy called Brendon..............It was gruesome, carefully planned and she nearly got away with it, just made one slip up, she hit him over the head and put him in an old chest freezer in the backyard, left him there with old bikes, carpets etc covering the top, she thought he would just rot away - One day the neighbour's complained of a strange smell and Eastcroft wa

I was bought up in Hucknall 1945/68, hardly recognisable now.........I loved the place back then, was a great place to live and grow up, we had everything......
