  6. I was there 55-61 and remeber well Mrs Hayes, Mrs Wilkinson (infant school) Mr Walton, Mr Gibby, Miss Brown and Mr Salt. Can't quite remember the name of the lady teacher who played the piano at assembly. I was in Miss Browns Class along with (others I can vaguely recall) Tony Fukes, Linda Wand, Robert Campbell, David Walker, June ? and of course about 28 others
  7. It was 4 old pennies and you could talk forever.
  8. With all of our pets we have had comprehensive pet insurance and two of our dogs have had claims which would total in excess of what we have ever paid out. Pet Plan has always been our choice because even if a pet gets a long term condition it is covered for life unlike many other pet insurance providers.

  13. Dennis Brittle, son of one of the Brittles was in my class at Huntingdon Street Secondary Modern. I'd like to know what he is doing now.

If you were looking a bit down a phrase I remember was " ehh looks like ya lost a bob an found a tanner" anybody considered to be a bit dopey was "three sheets t tha wind" or "a sucky bu99er" At meal time "ya get no puddin if ya dont eat all ya dinner" To keep you out of mischief "If ya gu down there bogey man'l get ya"

  18. The car showroom was Trumans, they now own and run Nottingham Airport. It was in their showroom that I blew a whole weeks pocket money (2/6 - - - - 12 an half pence to you young uns) to sit in that Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger. Most of the lads wanted just to sit by the scanty clad Bond girl but to me the car was much more exciting. It was made at Newport Pagnal and I belive they made three as they couldn't get all the gadgets on one car. I just want two gadgets, the machine guns and the revolving number plates, we all have sat nav now and the ability to link it to another vehicle.
