  1. Eyup Wayne, welcome to the Nottstalgia site. I went to Beechdale pool a few times myself, more for the diving pit than the swimming pool.
  2. I had a prized collection of fag cards and Brooke Bond tea cards, up until the time I left my blazer at Noel street baths following a junior school swimming lesson. When I got my jacket back my pockets had been emptied and all my worldly possessions were gone! I'm not bitter though...Life's too short.

  10. What about the sideshows. Were there any ? The last one I went into was to see a giant dressed in Scottish gear. He sat in the middle of the tent and the paying public walked round him. He reached out and shook hands with everyone. His hands were the size of shovels and his kneecaps were the size of big saucepan lids.
