  1. You mean I've got to take this lot out of the boot again!? Ah well I suppose I can wait a bit longer... get well soon trogg
  2. My dad worked there from the days of his apprenticeship until the day he simply walked out thirty years later. No amount of asking why or the efforts of Lee & Hunt would get him to give any reason...
  3. Try closing the browser and look again..
  4. I've just realised how appropriate this topic heading is. Things you don't see any more.......... Compo's pics!
  5. Col I could see them earlier (they looked disgusting) but they've done a Compo now...
  6. Well sorry folks I'm not giving up me Yorkshire Tea and drinking Earl Grey just to see Compo's pics... good as they are so there
  7. There are companies that give the printer for 'free' if you buy two sets of ink/toner.
  8. Compo's curse is still working it seems....
  9. It's entirely possible you broke them by using paper thicker than they could handle...If you're like me you probably only read manuals after an appliance breaks... it's man thing..
  10. Cut 'n' crease the card, print your design/picture on photo paper and stick it on? Photo paper usually runs better fed in from the rear where possible... Inkjets designed to handle card stock tend to be a bit expensive for home users
  11. I wasted money on a 3D capable monitor too, I have never actually found anything 3D that plays on it.
  12. For as often as you need a greetings card I would suggest an online 'design it yourself' site...
  13. The 'poshest' hi-fi I ever had was quadrophnic. Like VHS and Betamax for video, there were two systems and my setup did both. Apart from a couple of experimental transmissions there was never any content to listen to and I quickly became bored with sitting in the one square feet of carpet (to get the proper effect), to listen to the demo, (Sound of a carousel)
  14. The simple answer is you can't. If you use 100gsm you are already beyond the printers design parameters. From the technical specs the paper must A4 or smaller and the weight 64 gsm to 90 gsm (17 - 24lb) It may be resistance to 'bending' the printer can't handle
  15. Mines Black with dark window blinds so everyone thinks I'm a drug dealer and gets out my bleddy way!
  16. Mary I've had several TV sets, the last three were all 'flat panel' and to my ears the sound was OK. Maybe yours has a problem. The object of Bluetooth is pairing other devices, i.e. phones so you see phone pics etc. You can also stream to the TV.
  17. Last time I was in Paphos Cyprus Woolworth were doing OK...
  18. Has he finally had his big day?
  19. The Rolls in the pool was a shadow, not a Corniche and was carfully staged. Lizzie is correct the plate is false, the original was MDH 119K
  20. Questions Ben: Was it the right way up Was it the right way round Did it work Was the previous owner Dorian Grey...
  21. I've been inside there. it's an absolute tip! I'm sure with bit of imagination it could be put to good use.
  22. Just another sad snipe from the sidelines with nothing sensible or credible to offer. Typical sneering comment... wouldn't be so bad if it was even remotely amusing.
  23. Which is apparently better than the female version who, according to SG, listens carefully to your request, takes it under advisement then totally ignores you and does as she pleases.
  24. Saturday night was not complete without a pint in the Flying Horse, had some good nights in there, beer was good too. The term 'gay' hadn't been invented then, most of the names were derogatory..
  25. I shall have to think seriously about a FB account...
