  1. Mams Christmas treat - Advocaat and lemonade. Can't remember if it was a SNALL glass or not!
  2. I've been told they do this to stop anyone ordering the items when they are out of stock but need to keep the advert 'live'
  3. Pleased it's all under control Col, you had me a bit concerned there for a moment. Hope you soon suss it out...
  4. I'm not a doctor so this may be total cobblers but the above statement would worry me if I were. Like most here I had never heard of GS and looked it up. I suspect you know far more than I but to me it seems the elephant you are ignoring (or excusing) is booze. When you start to say you need it because 'XYZ' then I begin to wonder about dependency. The first thing someone who has an alcohol problem is to deny it and give, what is to them a good excuse, for the amount they drink. . You say your drinking is WELL above the guidelines so I have no doubt it will help you slee
  5. Well I can see it, looks a lot like a place in Holland I visited just outside Amsterdam last summer.
  6. I've always had back trouble - getting the bugger of the mattress mainly.
  7. Good I'm glad but you can understand peoples misgivings when you read of the problems they created at Kenilworth and Kirkby Stephen. One swallow does not a summer make, let's hope they continue in the way they have started and maybe it will be a benefit and not a curse.
  8. Aha I saw what you did there, you nailed it and I think I may be screwed but I wood never ash yew to leaf - you're way too poplar.
  9. The 'print screen' facility can and does capture things the computer 'sees' but is not always visible to you if your screen is not using the default screen size settings. The border I have no idea about. I suggest lying down in a darkened room with a large slice of chocolate cake till you feel better..
  10. Sounds a good idea but if they weren't such mucky buggers in the first place and took their own rubbish away there wouldn't be any need.
  11. Oh dear that really goes against the grain, you'll be starting a splinter group next and opening branches everywhere. I bet you're a Forest supporter too
  12. All true, the difference is they are all organised, authorised and the clear up costs are covered. Hopefully the same applies to the J26 fair.
  13. What is this nonsense? You'll be telling me next that a boomerang that doesn't come back is just a stick and that picket fences are not made from pickets?
  14. From what I gather political discussion is not allowed after a vote by members. That was apparently some years ago and by people who for the most part no longer post. Like the Brexit leavers would have it one vote casts the decision in stone. The result can never be questioned, challenged or asked again - really? that's democracy is it? The problem is a rerun is likely to be close and even if the decision changes we will still have a divided forum/nation with one side saying "ya boo suck it up and live with it" and the losers crying foul we want another go..
  15. If they turn out to be so then I'll readily say 'welcome and come again'..
  16. I doubt anyone will have a problem if it really is a traditional fair 'ala Goose fair. If it's a traditional let's roaring drunk and smash the pub up, burgle and steal anything not actually nailed down, race horses up and down the public roads, threaten anyone with the temerity to object then yes I think it safe to say they are not welcome. Let's see Goose fair, organised, authorised, crime quite low for such a large event and a good time had by all. J26 fair - I would think the police have access to more information than Joe Public and their advice to busi
  17. Sure you can - just vote ISIS..
  18. Happy Birthday Carni!!
  19. Good lord no, by the time that came into fashion I was way too old.
  20. Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong - I don't know. The most vociferous 'no rerun' are logically enough the leavers but if ,as you say, there is no doubt about the result, then why not just let it happen and enjoy the ' I told you' moment when you're proven right?
  21. Aha.. the first shot............
  22. I find it strange that among my friends the reasons for a leave vote seems to be changing. It was mostly immigration and EU Laws. Now it seems to be a vague mish mash of reasons and it's all going to be alright in the end innit. Immigration is still mentioned but with far less conviction.
  23. See if this helps nonna... https://www.instantstreetview.com/@52.955172,-1.150737,69.11h,4.6p,1z
  24. Quite agree with you Letsav. Political comment on here usually runs until someone takes exception or becomes confrontational and them a moderator comes along and gives us all a full Bold font warning. As for a second run, like you I thought "they won, get over it" but as things unfold it looks as though the situation is not how anyone imagined it would be. To be honest I'm still on the fence about it. At my age the full effect of leaving will take so long I doubt I will be around to see it and say "I tode yer wot would appen", pity really
