  7. I am the same age as Schwarzenegger, so many thanks Cliff Ton for the complement, I am fairly young member of Nottstalgia. A few weeks ago I really felt my age, they say you are getting old when policemen look young, but I saw a Hospital Consultant and he appeared to be a young lad. I told him that and the nurse couldnt stop laughing.
  8. I also have a Omron, I brought it after a series of readings by my GP he suggested it as most peoples readings are higher when taken in a medical environment. I was having to take 2 readings in the morning and another 2 in the evening for one week every month for quite a while , my BP varied that much, after altering the medications many times I have just been told to take the readings for one week each 3 month period. I have never experienced any pain in the arm when taking these tests . I have a friend who had a heart attack 25 years ago and takes blood pressure tabs and also statins

NEW TECH REVENGE New tech strikes back after the destruction of my old laptop I was told to buy a Samsung 360 laptop with windows 11, all went well until I tried to print a document, after many failed attempts and research Canon donot do a driver for windows 11 for my printer, it is old., New tech your the winner I give up. Just to add to my woes on this Friday the 13th I go into QMC to have a stone removed from my salivary gland , I believe the wife has asked them to sew up half of my mouth. Life can only get better I hope.
  13. Recently there was a topic on faulty tech items in it I said I turned it off removed the plug swore at it, gave it time to consider its future then switch it back on. Well new tech has an evil mind of its own, my laptop decided to have its revenge on me. The battery ran down even being plugged in , after a new charger which made no difference it was taken to the laptop doctor who gave a sickening estimate , seeing the age of mine I had to buy an new one. The new one arrived and a phone call to grandson and he set it up for me, he was right back it up regularly, I never lost anything. Now
  14. Years ago my consultant told me there was an operation to cut the nerve which would stop the pain in my lower back and leg , but there was a possibility that it could damage other nerves in that area which there could be the possibility of me ending in a wheelchair. I decided not to have it and carried on using my walking stick and pain killers, I have over the years cut down on the tablets ,it restricts what I can do but so does age. Waking up in the morning is the most important thing .

  17. I cannot remember the last time I went shopping in Nottingham I used to take the wife quite often. I enjoyed these trips as I never went into the shops unless I could sit down with a coffee, the rest of the time I stood outside people watching. Anything I want for myself I purchase online. As for Nottingham changing several months ago my Karcher pressure washer failed instead of as before just buying a new one I found there was a repair centre on Daleside Road, so off I set. I knew the area quite well so I thought. I found new major roads, bridges and little areas with major stores in

  24. I have had problems with getting in and out of cars, that I liked, for years , I finally had to accept my limitations and purchased a SUV. Its so much easier on your body, it may not be the car you really liked but life is so much easier on your body.
  25. A workmate use to breed rabbits and he talked the rest of the shift to have rabbit that night for the evening meal. One made us promise that we wouldn’t show them him the rabbits before they were killed and cooked. I promised that I wouldn’t. As soon as they finished the meal I walked in with a little white rabbit in my arms talking to it saying that these nasty men have just eaten your brothers and sisters. One of them was not impressed, but at that time I could run faster than him.
